Exacting craftsmanship in every project

About

Kiskeya is the native Taino name for the Isle of Hispaniola, the location of modern day Haiti and the Dominican Republic and means ‘Mother of all Lands.’ Aa a proud Dominican American, the word ‘kiskeya’ captures the importance of connecting to my roots in all my projects. It also reflects the feeling of timeless tradition I try to bring to every piece I create.

Story

After watching countless YouTube videos and thinking, ‘I could do that,’ I began woodworking out of a small garage with just a few tools and a circular saw. My first project was a pair of Adirondack chairs to satisfy my most important client, my wife. After completing those, I turned my sights to bigger and more complex projects. Over the last three years, I have honed my craft over hundreds of hours of painstaking study and practice. I am excited to share with others what has turned from hobby to passion.

Purpose

My purpose is to create exceptionally beautiful woodcraft products that are built to last.
